By 3am on Saturday morning Lotus Racing had finally finished packing up the six airfreight boxes needed for the journey to Bahrain and the beginning of the 2010 Formula One ^TM season.  Two cars and a 60-strong team have now made their way to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Bahrain International Circuit for the first race of much anticipated 2010 season.

On 12^th September 2009 Lotus Racing gained entry onto the grid. As the team gears up for the first Grand Prix, the whole team, including the drivers Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen, remain upbeat and honest about their expectations for the first few races. Trulli commented, "It would be nice to score a point, but it is not going to be easy. We have to be realistic."

Chief Technical Officer, Mike Gascoyne said, "Our test season was extremely productive - in general we've had very good reliability, and the team is in very good shape going to the first race."

DAY FOUR OF BARCELONA TESTING

Hot weather in Barcelona provided the backdrop for the final day of testing on track for the Lotus Racing team before the 2010 Formula 1™ season kicks off in earnest. Heikki Kovalainen took the Lotus Cosworth T127 for its final session as the test season drew to a close and completed a total of 65 laps in the five month old challenger. After some developmental mechanical and weight balance changes, the team were happy to see yet more improvement in the car’s reliability and pace.

Chief Technical Officer, Mike Gascoyne remarked "It was a game of two halves as they say; we had a good morning where we were able to complete all our plans but a problem with the programme change on the gearbox delayed us in the afternoon, which meant we weren't able to do as much running as we wanted. Overall, however, the test has been extremely productive - in general we've had very good reliability, and the team is in very good shape going to the first race.

The second official test of 2010 commences this week in Malaysia as the premier class riders continue with their preparations for the start of the new season.

Three weeks after the first official test of the year at the Sepang International Circuit the MotoGP riders will return to the Malaysian track this week to carry on with the developments of their respective prototypes, ahead of the start of the World Championship season in Qatar on April 11.

Rain threaten to spoil the night as more than 70 drag racers made their way to the first Sepang Drag Battle for this year.

Fortunately it drizzled just enough to cool the ambient temperature down at the Sepang International Circuit boosting the power output for the drag cars that night.

Following the unveiling of their new car on Friday night, Lotus Racing have announced they have strengthened their senior management team, with two shareholders, S M Nasarudin and Dato’ Kamarudin Meranun, joining team principal Tony Fernandes as his deputies.

“Our goals and objectives are clear but, as mentioned earlier, there is still a huge task at hand,” explained Fernandes. “We have 19 races to go through and, with the three of us assisting each other in our roles, we believe that the management has all the necessary resources to bring the team to the forefront.” 

Pada 21 Disember saya telah mendapat panggilan dari Asimo bahawa Modenas akan mengadakan sesi tunggang uji pada 22 Dis dan 23Dis untuk produk motorsikal terbaru mereka Modenas CT110 dan juga Passion 125 Sport untuk pihak media,Sesuatu yang sangat  istimewa adalah lokasi pandu uji, iaitu di Litar Sukan Bermotor Antarabangsa Melaka (MIMC) yang jaraknya cuma 500meter sahaja dari tol Air Keroh,Melaka. Mungkin ramai yang kurang menyedari bahawa Melaka telah mempunyai litar lumba khas untuk motorsikal,go-kart dan juga drift yang siap pada pertengahan tahun 2009. Perlumbaan Cubprix juga telah diadakan di litar sepanjang 1.555km itu. Jadi tanpa berlengah saya terus mengemas sut perlumbaan kulit serta but dan juga kelengkapan menunggang yang diperlukan.
